Optus mobile phone outlet in Percy Street experienced a break-in during which the shop front window was smashed and a substantial number of mobile phones were stolen.

This break-in followed a string of burglaries of Portland businesses including a jewellery store, takeaway food outlet, electrical store and Portland Disposals, Camping and Hardware shop in Julia Street.
