Small Towns Still Need Security

Although respectively Hamilton and Portland have populations of less than 10,000 people – as per the last census count – we know that small towns are not impenetrable from the unwanted effects of crime. In our experience, no matter what the size of town it is ideal to have appropriate security measures in place.

Over the last year, a significant jump in Hamilton’s crime rate has been detected. It was even brought up in State Parliament, as a recent article in The Standard described an alarming rise in local offences, including a staggering 26.9 percent increase in car theft.

“The residents of Hamilton have a right to feel safe,” Member for Western Victoria Jaala Pulford told.

One of the best ways we do this is to advise our customers to consider the benefits of closed-circuit television (CCTV) as a preventative security measure. This can be fantastic as a preventive measure and immensely helpful in identifying suspects on film should an unfortunate situation ever occur.
